Job Description

WSP's Global Capability Center (GCC) India is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to support the US Earth & Setting business.

This position will serve as a technical delivery resource supporting multidisciplinary environmental, mining, remediation, and/or civil infrastructure projects across the United States. The role is focused on geotechnical engineering analyses, design support, numerical modeling, report preparation, and digital delivery, working closely with US-based geotechnical, environmental, hydrogeological, mining, or remediation teams. The candidate will work with field data collected by US teams and provide technical interpretation, modeling, design support, documentation, and QA/QC services.

Responsibilities

Perform geotechnical engineering analyses utilizing information from field investigations conducted by US-based teams.
Interpret geotechnical investigations, laboratory testing results, subsurface data, geologic mapping, and groundwater information.
Develop engineering recommendations related to settlement, bearing capacity, slope stability,



earth pressures, seepage, liquefaction, ground improvement and geo hazards.
Assist with design and evaluation of deep and shallow foundations, retaining structures, earth retaining systems, embankments, dams, levees, and waste containment facilities.
Perform and review slope stability analyses, seepage analyses, settlement analyses, consolidation analyses, earthworks evaluations, ground improvement studies, foundation and geohazard analyses.
Prepare geotechnical reports, including development of design calculations, engineering specifications, and design packages. Develop geotechnical appendices for environmental reports. Produce engineering figures, cross-sections, and drawings.
Develop subsurface models, create borehole logs, and conduct geotechnical QA/QC Reviews.
