Job Summary

We are looking for a Fabrication Engineer to supervise and coordinate fabrication activities including cutting, bending, fit-up, welding and assembly. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring production targets, dimensional accuracy, quality and safety standards. These responsibilities align with current fabrication/production roles in the Chakan industrial area.

Key Responsibilities
Study fabrication drawings, GA drawings, BOM and specifications.
Plan and monitor daily fabrication activities.
Supervise cutting, bending, fit-up, welding, grinding and assembly.
Coordinate with Fitters, Welders and Helpers on the shop floor.
Ensure fabrication is completed as per drawing and required dimensions.
Check alignment, dimensions, weld quality and fit-up.
Coordinate with Quality/QA-QC for inspection and rectification.
Monitor material availability and minimize material wastage.
Prepare and maintain production reports,



job status and daily work records.
Monitor manpower, productivity and production targets.
Identify fabrication problems and take corrective action.
Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, Planning, Quality and Maintenance teams.
Ensure proper implementation of 5S, PPE and shop-floor safety.
Reduce rejection, rework and production delays.
Support process improvement and Kaizen activities.

Required Skills
Valuable knowledge of MS/SS fabrication.
Good understanding of MIG/TIG/ARC welding processes.
Ability to read fabrication and engineering drawings.
Knowledge of measuring instruments and dimensional inspection.
Manpower handling and shop-floor coordination skills.
Basic knowledge of MS Excel/ERP/MIS.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Experience Experience in heavy fabrication, structural fabrication, automotive fabrication, machinery/equipment fabrication or sheet-metal fabrication will be preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
