Design CI / SG Iron castings, patterns and core boxes as per customer drawings.
Prepare 3D models and 2D drawings using 3D CAD software and AutoCAD.
Develop pattern design considering shrinkage, machining allowance, draft and core requirements.
Perform casting simulation for filling, solidification and defect prediction.
Optimize gating and risering systems to improve casting quality and yield.
Coordinate with Customer, Pattern, Foundry, Production and Quality teams.
Modify designs based on casting trials, simulation results and quality feedback.
Prepare and maintain design drawings, BOM, technical documents and revisions.
Support recent product development and pattern/tooling development.
Identify design-related casting defects and implement design improvements and corrective actions.
