Job Summary:

Responsible for preparing high-quality vegetarian food for weddings, corporate events, parties, banquets, and large-scale catering operations while maintaining excellent taste, quality, hygiene, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare a wide variety of vegetarian Indian and multi-cuisine dishes for catering events
Handle bulk food preparation for weddings, corporate events, and large gatherings
Plan and execute menus according to client requirements and event themes
Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portion size, and presentation
Supervise Commis, Helpers, and kitchen staff during event preparation
Manage mise en place and ensure timely food preparation
Monitor the quality and freshness of vegetables, dairy products, spices, and other ingredients
Control food costs, portioning, wastage, and raw material consumption
Coordinate with Catering Managers, Purchase, Stores, and Service teams
Ensure proper food storage, kitchen cleanliness, and hygiene
Follow FSSAI and food safety standards
Develop new vegetarian dishes and customized menus as required

Skills Required:




Strong expertise in vegetarian Indian cuisine
Excellent knowledge of bulk cooking and catering operations
Knowledge of North Indian, South Indian, Gujarati, Rajasthani, and regional vegetarian cuisine
Strong menu planning and food presentation skills
Positive team leadership and kitchen management abilities
Knowledge of food costing and portion control
Ability to work under pressure during large events

Qualification & Experience:
Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred
5–10 years of experience in catering/hotel/banquet kitchens
Prior experience as Catering Chef / CDP / Sous Chef preferred

Preferred Experience:
Experience in wedding catering, outdoor catering, corporate events, banquet kitchens, or large-scale vegetarian catering
Experience handling high-volume food production and large kitchen teams
Robust expertise in authentic Indian vegetarian cuisine

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
