MahiNergy is a documentary YouTube channel built on a simple belief, that young India deserves to understand the world they're inheriting, not just consume it. We don't make boring content. We make investigative documentaries.

The Role
We're looking for a Documentary Video Editor based in Kolkata who understands that editing is storytelling, not just cutting clips together.

If you've studied how Johnny Harris builds tension, how Cleo Abram uses motion graphics to explain systems, or how Vox uses pacing to hold attention for 15+ minutes, you're the kind of person we want to talk to.

What You'll Actually Do
- Edit long-form documentary-style YouTube videos (12-20 mins)
- Build simple motion graphics that explain data and systems clearly
- Select and layer music that carries emotional intent, not just background noise
- Collaborate directly with Mahi on pacing, structure, and visual storytelling
- Work within a structured production pipeline with explicit deadlines





You're The Right Fit If:
- You have a portfolio with at least 1-2 documentary or explainer-style edits
- You understand the difference between decorative B-roll and purposeful visuals
- You can hold viewer attention through smart pacing, not just flashy transitions
- You're based in or can work from Kolkata:
- You're proficient in Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve + After Effects or Motion

You're NOT The Right Fit If:
- Your portfolio is only reels, wedding videos, or Instagram edits
- You've never watched a Johnny Harris or Cleo Abram video
- You need to be told what every cut should feel like
