Hospital Housekeeping Staff

Key Responsibilities
Clean and maintain patient rooms, wards, ICU areas, corridors, waiting areas, offices, and washrooms.
Perform regular sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitization of hospital premises.
Follow hospital hygiene, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
Collect, segregate, and dispose of waste according to hospital guidelines.
Handle biomedical waste carefully and follow proper color-coded waste segregation procedures.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, furniture, doors, and equipment areas.
Maintain cleanliness around patient beds and assigned areas.
Assist with cleaning during patient shifting, discharge, and room preparation.
Refill housekeeping supplies such as disinfectants,



tissues, soaps, and other materials when required.
Report spills, damaged equipment, safety hazards, and maintenance issues to the supervisor.
Follow PPE and workplace safety guidelines during housekeeping activities.
Maintain proper hygiene standards in washrooms and common areas.
Coordinate with nursing, administration, and housekeeping supervisors when required.
Complete assigned cleaning duties within the scheduled shift.
Maintain qualified behavior and respect patient privacy and confidentiality.
