The Site & Operations Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end execution, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations. The role involves coordinating with clients, electrical contractors, DISCOMs, OEMs, civil contractors, and government authorities to ensure timely deployment and uninterrupted operation of charging infrastructure.

Key ResponsibilitiesA. Site Survey & Project Execution
- Conduct technical site surveys for current EV charging station installations.
- Assess electrical load availability, transformer capacity, civil requirements, parking layout, and cable routing.
- Prepare site survey reports with technical recommendations.
- Coordinate with landlords, customers, electrical consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and electrical safety standards.
- Supervise civil, electrical, and networking works at project sites.
- Verify BOQ quantities and installation quality.
- Ensure projects are completed within budget and timelines.

B. Installation & Commissioning




- Coordinate installation of AC and DC EV chargers.
- Supervise installation of:
- Power cables
- Earthing systems
- Distribution Panels
- MCCB/MCB
- Surge Protection Devices
- Energy meters
- Network equipment
- Perform testing and commissioning.
- Configure chargers with the Central Management System (CMS/OCPP platform).
- Verify communication through Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or 4G connectivity.
- Conduct trial charging sessions before handing over the site.

C. Operations & Maintenance
- Monitor charger health using remote monitoring platforms.
- Respond promptly to charger faults and operational issues.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Troubleshoot:
- Power failures
- Communication failures
- Payment issues
- Software alerts
- Hardware failures
- Ensure maximum charger uptime and service availability.
- Maintain spare parts inventory.
