ROLE:
Academic Associate

Azim Premji University, Bhopal, started operations in August 2023, offering postgraduate and undergraduate programmes. The first phase of campus construction is complete and the overall 50-acre campus with state-of-the-art academic and residential facilities will be ready over the next few years. We expect to grow to about 4000 students and 500 members over the next few years.

The members joining in this role will contribute to the courses in the Undergraduate Programme at the University in Bhopal. This is a 2‑year full-time position.
- The work hours need to be adaptable, as the expectation is out of classroom hours.

Responsibilities:
As an Academic Associate for Economics, you will be:
- Working with faculty on two to three undergraduate courses, with substantial mathematical and programming content, each semester.
- Conducting tutorials for students who need help in topics like probability and calculus.




- Preparing teaching material, conducting diagnostic tests, and providing extra support to student projects outside of class hours.
- Mentoring undergraduate Economics students and working with them on their projects and other activities.

Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Economics.
- Proficiency in quantitative economics and in R/Python.
- An interest in teaching and engaging with a socially and academically diverse cohort of students.
- An interest in empirical economics.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi.
