Social Science Teacher (CBSE)

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Teach Social Science to students in accordance with the CBSE curriculum and guidelines.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lesson plans using activity-based and experiential learning methods.
- Prepare question papers, assignments, worksheets, projects, and assessments aligned with CBSE learning outcomes.
- Evaluate student performance through formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate academic records.
- Encourage inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Integrate technology, smart classroom tools, and digital resources into teaching.
- Provide academic support and guidance to students and communicate their progress to parents during PTMs.
- Maintain discipline and create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
- Participate in school assemblies, examinations, co-curricular activities, educational excursions, and other school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement school policies and achieve academic excellence.




- Stay updated with CBSE circulars, curriculum changes, competency-based education, and NEP 2020 guidelines.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or a related Social Science discipline.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized institution (mandatory).
- CTET/TET qualification preferred (where applicable).
- Strong understanding of the CBSE curriculum, assessment patterns, and competency-based education.

Experience
- 2-5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school is preferred.

Skills Required
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Solid classroom management and student engagement abilities.
- Thorough knowledge of CBSE curriculum and board examination requirements.
- Ability to prepare lesson plans, assessments, and competency-based questions.
