Merchandising Head Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the entire merchandising team and manage buyer accounts.
Handle buyer communication, order booking, negotiation, and follow-ups.
Plan and monitor TNA, sampling, costing, production, and shipment timelines.
Review and approve costing, consumption, CM, trims, and fabric requirements.
Negotiate with buyers and suppliers to achieve target price and profitability.
Coordinate with Design, Sampling, Fabric, Accessories, Production, Quality, and PPC teams.
Ensure on-time sample submission and approvals.
Monitor order status, production progress, and shipment schedules.
Handle buyer comments, technical issues, and approvals.
Ensure orders are executed as per buyer specifications, quality standards, and delivery commitments.




Identify risks related to cost, quality, capacity, and delivery and take corrective action.
Prepare and review MIS, order status, costing, and business reports for management.
Develop and maintain solid relationships with domestic and international buyers.
Guide merchandisers on product knowledge, costing, negotiation, communication, and execution.
Support management in business development, recent buyer acquisition, and order planning.
Ensure maximum profitability and smooth execution of all orders. Role & responsibilities
