Taking a lead role in Powertrain System design and development throughout the product development life cycle to meet performance, reliability, quality and cost objectives of the program.
Job description
- This position is responsible for Powertrain System and Components design at Surface Division for Drilling Equipment.
- Lead powertrain system design and development for mining equipment, ensuring adherence to performance, efficiency, and regulatory standards.
- Analyze and optimize powertrain components to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Integrate powertrain systems seamlessly into overall equipment design through cross-functional collaboration.
- Plan and execute comprehensive testing and validation procedures to meet performance and durability targets.
- Complete Design and Development: Engine Selection, Power
- Eco Mode torque selection, Aftertreatment Selection/Integration, DEF/AdBlue along with Cold Start/Hot, Engine Peripherals
- Air intake system Design,
Cooling system (Radiator, hydraulic, transmission, Fuel Cooler along with & Optimized Fan Selection, Transmission selection (Manual/Torque-converter/Transaxle/HST) selection, Coupling selection, Exhaust system installation (EGR, NVH, DOC, and SCR) selection, Fuel System (CRS, Mechanical engine, schematic layout), Clutch (diaphragm type) and Tire-Rim, Engine Mounts, propeller shaft, levers and controls.
- Working with Electric Drives and integration of same with Hydraulic an pneumatic systems.
- Develop and implement test protocols to validate powertrain system performance under various conditions.
- Mentor junior engineers in testing and validation activities, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to enhance testing and validation processes.
