Job Requirements
Technical skills:
- Should have in-depth knowledge of Locomotives - Including strong knowledge of systems and sub systems
- Cabs design specific to handle Desert Environments, Sealing, RAMS, Environmental Safety regulations
- Should have experience handling Sealing design to meet Desert Sand, Iron ore environment
- Should have experience of handling sub systems like Main Cab, Aux Cab, Blower Cab, Engine Cab, Rad Cab.
- Should have experience of design, verification, FEA, hand calculations, PPAP
- 15-20 years of experience in subsystems / component Design & Development of Locomotive / automobile / heavy industries
- Should have strong proven experience in handling customers across multiple geographies and meeting resp customers processes and standards
- Will be owning key CTQ like delivery, schedules, quality for all teams within multiple business units
- Experience on NPI projects, Fixture design development, structural calculations, bolted joint, weld joint calculations
- Analyzing shop issues and providing solutions




- Should have worked on concept generation using idea generation methods
- Have good knowledge on new component introduction process, FMEA and validation process of components
- Should be very valuable at GD&T;, Tolerance stack-up, DFA/DFM/DFS
- Knowledge to Interpret FEA Analysis reports
- Strong knowledge in Industry Codes and Engineering standards like ASME, ISO & European specific standards
- Should have minimum 8+ years of experience as checker / Reviewer / SME
- Should have worked with cross-functional team of Designers, Engineers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Field service and external consulting engineering teams
- Present in meetings which will be scheduled with functional managers / CFT or toll gate reviews
- Shop floor experience in Sheetmetal, Casting, Forging, Metal joining techniques (Bolting, Welding, Riveting), plastics
- Should have worked with cross-functional team of Designers, Engineers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Field servic
