Key Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory equipment, chemicals, and materials for science practical sessions.
- Assist science teachers during laboratory experiments and demonstrations.
- Ensure laboratory safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Clean, organize, and maintain laboratory equipment and workspaces.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and report shortages.
- Properly label, store, and dispose of chemicals and laboratory waste according to safety guidelines.
- Keep records of laboratory equipment, materials, and maintenance activities.
- Perform basic maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment where required.
- Support the setup of science exhibitions, projects, and competitions.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Science, Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a school or educational laboratory is preferred.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and chemical handling procedures.
- Valuable organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
