About the Role

We are looking for a
Battery Design Engineer
to lead the design, development and optimization of lithium-ion battery systems for EV, energy storage and second-life applications. The role will focus on battery pack design, cost optimization, aesthetics, safety, manufacturability, innovation and product development.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop complete lithium-ion battery packs, modules and battery systems for EV, energy storage and second-life applications.
Develop battery architecture, cell configuration, module/pack structure, enclosure, busbars, connectors and component layouts.
Create and maintain
3D CAD models, assemblies, engineering drawings and BOMs
for battery components and systems.
Design battery enclosures and mechanical structures considering safety, vibration,



shock, IP protection, weight and durability.
Integrate
BMS, electrical architecture, HV components and thermal management systems
into battery pack design.
Optimize battery design for
cost, performance, weight, aesthetics, reliability and manufacturability
.
Drive design-to-cost and value engineering initiatives without compromising safety or product performance.
Develop aesthetically appealing and application-specific battery pack designs while maintaining engineering and manufacturing requirements.
Support prototype development, testing, validation and troubleshooting of battery systems.
Ensure battery designs comply with
AIS-156 and applicable safety, automotive and battery standards

Conduct or support design reviews, DFMEA, risk assessment and design validation activities.
