The Role
Leybold India is seeking a Project Engineer - Systems responsible for supporting system proposals, coordinating with internal teams and third‑party vendors, and executing vacuum system projects from enquiry through delivery. The role involves strong technical engagement, project coordination, and customer support to ensure timely and cost‑effective project execution.
1. Proposal & Pre‑Order Support
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals based on enquiries received from the Sales team.
- Coordinate with the Systems & Solutions division and third‑party vendors to obtain proposals.
- Technically and commercially evaluate vendor and competitive proposals.
- Provide strong technical support to Sales during quotation and order execution phases.
- Participate in customer meetings as required.
2. Engineering & Design
- Perform engineering calculations to ensure secure and reliable operation of vacuum pump packages.
- Review and validate P&IDs;, GA drawings, and other engineering/design documents.
- Prepare RFQs, datasheets, and drawings for bought‑out items and manage technical approvals.
- Coordinate design interfaces with Core Engineering teams to ensure cohesive system design.
- Conduct design review meetings to verify completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards and work instructions.
3. Project Execution & Coordination
- Coordinate and follow up with Systems & Solutions teams and third‑party vendors on project progress.
- Monitor inspections and ensure projects are executed within defined timelines.
- Proactively communicate any issues that may impact cost, quality, or delivery to the Sales team and reporting manager.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and auditable project documentation in line with quality procedur
