Role & responsibilities
Prepare and review Form 1040 (US Individual Income Tax Return) and related tax schedules.
Review underlying financial and tax-related documentation and identify any missing or inconsistent information.
Request and follow up on pending documentation required for accurate tax return preparation.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in client-provided information and supporting documents.
Accurately input and organize tax information in the format required for Form 1040 and related schedules.
Perform and review US individual tax computations to determine taxable income and tax liability.
Apply knowledge of US tax laws while preparing and reviewing individual tax returns.
Demonstrate solid understanding of various Form 1040 schedules, deductions, exemptions, and tax credits.
Ensure tax returns are accurate, complete,



and compliant with applicable US federal and state tax regulations.
Research and stay updated on changes in US tax laws and individual taxation requirements.
Coordinate with senior tax professionals and relevant stakeholders to resolve tax-related queries and issues.

Preferred candidate profile
Experience in US Tax / Individual Taxation within a Big 4, accounting firm, tax consulting firm, or similar setting.
Experience handling multiple US individual tax returns (Form 1040).
Familiarity with US tax preparation software and tax research tools.
EA (Enrolled Agent) or CPA certification would be an added advantage.
Positive written and verbal communication skills.
