Job Summary

We are looking for a result-oriented Purchase qualified to manage end-to-end procurement activities for a high-volume manufacturing workplace. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, vendor development, price negotiation, purchase planning, order management and ensuring timely availability of materials as per production requirements.

Candidates with experience in manufacturing / laminate / chemical / paper / packaging / building material industries will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end purchase and procurement activities.
Source and procure raw materials, chemicals, packaging materials, consumables, engineering items, spares and other production-related materials.
Identify,



evaluate and develop new vendors as per company requirements.
Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and ensure timely supplies.
Float enquiries, obtain quotations and prepare comparative statements.
Negotiate price, payment terms, delivery schedules, quality and commercial terms with suppliers.
Generate and process Purchase Orders in SAP / ERP.
Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and resolve supply-related issues.
Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, Finance and Logistics departments.
Monitor material requirements and ensure uninterrupted availability for production.
Analyze market prices, availability and alternate sources to achieve cost savings.
Conduct vendor evaluation based on quality, cost, delivery and service parameters.
Maintain proper purchase records, vendor data and MIS reports.
Handle rate contracts and annual purchase agreements wherever required.
