Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Legal Manager to oversee the institutions legal and compliance matters, provide timely legal advice to management, manage contracts and agreements, coordinate with external legal counsel, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Legal Advisory
Provide legal advice and guidance to the Management and various departments on legal matters.
Review and interpret applicable laws, rules, regulations, notifications, and government orders.
Identify potential legal risks and recommend appropriate preventive and corrective measures.
Advise management on legal implications of business and operational decisions.
Contracts & Agreements
Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize agreements, contracts, MoUs, undertakings, service agreements, vendor agreements, employment-related documents, and other legal documents.
Ensure contractual terms adequately protect the institution’s interests.
Maintain a systematic repository of all legal agreements and contracts.




Monitor contract renewals, expiry dates, and compliance with contractual obligations.
Litigation & Dispute Management
Manage and monitor ongoing litigation, disputes, notices, claims, and legal proceedings.
Coordinate with advocates, legal consultants, and external counsel.
Prepare case briefs, documentation, and responses for legal proceedings.
Track the status of court cases and ensure timely submission of required documents and responses.
Maintain an updated legal case tracker and provide periodic reports to management.
Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements relevant to the institution.
Monitor changes in laws, regulations, government notifications, and regulatory guidelines.
Coordinate with relevant departments to implement necessary compliance measures.
