Our team builds the data platform that underpins the Submission product portfolio. We are creating the next generation of data infrastructure, delivering a cloud-native Data Lake and Data Mesh architectures that enables teams to publish, own, and govern their data while making it easy to discover and consume across the business.

About Role:
As a Software Engineer on our team, you'll work on scalable distributed systems that ingest, process, store, and serve both structured and unstructured data. You'll help build the capabilities that power data discovery, analytics, operational reporting, and AI-driven insights, enabling Submission teams across Elsevier to make better decisions from trusted,



high-quality data.

We leverage AWS, event-driven architectures, microservice development, data modelling, modern data engineering practices, and platform engineering principles to build reliable, secure, and highly scalable data sharing services that form the foundation of Submission's data ecosystem.

Responsibilities:
- - Collaborating with business stakeholders to identify requirements and gather feedback in a quick-moving environment
- Providing input into architectural decisions to ensure stability and performance
- Identifying and implementing enhancements to continually improve our delivery process
- Partnering with cross-functional Agile and DevOps implementation teams
