Role:Chiller Design Engineer

- About the role

This role includes design and development chiller systems.
- Key Responsibilities:
- As a Chiller Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Chillers product Thermal Design & Simulations/DoE for Water Cooled & Air cooled chillers
- Design and Component selection (e.g. compressor, Shell & tube heat exchanger, Oil separator, Economizer, EXVs, fan/motors etc)
- Chiller Test/ qualify the product/ parts as per applicable standards and per reliability requirements.
- Design of the sub-assemblies and parts & development in coordination with suppliers
- Prepare BOMs, Launch literature (Installation & Service manual, Training manual etc).
- Drawings review& tolerance analysis. Knowledge of Design process DFMEA, RRCA, DOE, DFM/A/S
- Develop project plan and execute it for flawless launch. Engage with other cross functional team for execution of the projects.

Requirements:
Bachelors / Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:




4-9 years in Chillers R&D; /Development

Primary Skill Set:
- Thermal system design & development for Chillers
- Experience of selection and integration of key components like compressor, Copper tubes, Economizer, Thermal design of heat exchanger (Shell & Tube, Fin & Tube, MCHX, Brazed plate type etc.) oil separator design/optimization etc.
- Design of the sub-assemblies and parts & development in coordination with suppliers.
- Chiller Prototype Preparation & conducting a DFMEA, DFA/M/S & Design Reviews at various stages.
- VAVE (Value Analysis Value Engineering) and product costing, should costing analysis
- Design and drawing review, review designs/ drawings and prepare Bills of Materials.
- Exposure of different refrigerants selections and properties (HFC, HCFC, CFCs, HFOs)
- Tracks and follow-up of all projects and provide status updates regularly.
- Product Innovation - identify relevant trends in products and initiat
