(Senior BI Engineer SAS to Dataform Conversion)

Location: India (Any-Remote)

Shift: 1 PM IST to 10 PM IST

Year of Experience: 7–12 years of overall BI/data engineering experience, including 3–5 years of SAS and advanced SQL, and 2–3 years of Google Cloud/Dataform experience.

Senior BI Engineer responsible for migrating legacy SAS reporting and data-processing workflows to Google Dataform and SQL-based pipelines. The role involves analyzing SAS logic, understanding business requirements, developing equivalent Dataform solutions, and validating migrated reports with business and IT stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze SAS programs, reporting logic, data transformations, and scheduling dependencies.
Convert SAS workflows and business rules into Dataform and SQL.
Develop scalable data transformation and preparation pipelines in GCP.
Implement workflow orchestration, data quality checks, and validation rules.
Optimize complex SQL queries and transformation logic.
Validate migrated outputs against existing SAS reports and business expectations.
Identify and resolve gaps between SAS and Dataform functionality.
Support requirements gathering, clarification workshops, UAT, and business sign-off.
Resolve migration defects and document conversion outcomes.
Use Claude or similar AI tools for code conversion, validation, and remediation where appropriate.
