The Senior Engineer - Supply Chain Management role combines procurement, supplier coordination, materials management, and import clearance activities within a manufacturing setting. This onsite position plays a key part in ensuring timely material availability while meeting cost, productivity, accuracy, and compliance expectations.

Responsibilities
Manage requests for quotations and purchase orders, including issuing documents to suppliers and ensuring required materials are available
Process purchase requisitions and coordinate quotation activities with suppliers for spare parts and consumables
Compare prices and issue purchase orders after obtaining cost approval from management
Create goods receipt notes, material issue records, and challans for job work
Coordinate with customs house agents and freight forwarders throughout the customs clearance process
Review bills of entry checklists against invoices and Harmonised System of Nomenclature codes
Prepare documentation for customs clearance and process customs duty payments in accordance with requirements




Review requirements relating to the Indian Customs Electronic Gateway and the Directorate General of Foreign Trade
Follow up on materials to support timely delivery
Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeline targets
Comply with applicable regulations and ISO, IATF, OHSAS, and environmental management system requirements

Requirements
Knowledge of import processes, including customs house agent coordination, bills of entry, logistics, customs clearance documentation, duty payments, and applicable trade requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Solid supplier, freight forwarder, and internal stakeholder coordination skills
Ability to work accurately within required timelines and comply with relevant regulations and management system requirements
