Job Title: Assistant Manager GST

Location: Santacruz East, Mumbai

Experience Required: 1–3 years (Qualified CA/CMA)

Role Overview

We are looking for a qualified CA/CMA with hands-on experience in GST compliance and advisory to manage indirect tax operations. The ideal candidate should have solid technical knowledge of GST, experience in return filing, reconciliations, assessments, and the ability to coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate compliance.

Key Responsibilities

GST Compliance
Prepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, etc.).
Ensure timely payment of GST liabilities and statutory compliance.
Monitor GST compliance across business units and identify potential risks.

Reconciliation & Tax Reporting
Perform reconciliation of GSTR-2B, purchase register, sales register, and books of accounts.
Reconcile electronic cash ledger, credit ledger, and liability ledger.
Identify and resolve input tax credit (ITC) mismatches and other reconciliation issues.




Prepare GST-related MIS and compliance reports for management.

Assessments & Litigation
Handle GST notices, departmental queries, audits, and assessments.
Draft responses to notices and coordinate with consultants wherever required.
Maintain proper documentation for audits and assessments.

Advisory & Process Improvement
Provide GST advisory on routine business transactions.
Assist business teams in evaluating GST implications for current business models and transactions.
Ensure correct GST classification, HSN/SAC codes, tax rates, and invoicing practices.
Recommend process improvements to strengthen GST compliance and internal controls.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management
Liaise with finance, procurement, sales, and operations teams to ensure smooth GST compliance.
Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and tax authorities as required.
