OMT International is an established regional technology and equipment supplier with 17+ years of presence across the Middle East and expanding operations in India. We partner with shipyards, naval establishments, and major maritime/offshore projects across South Asia and the MENA region.

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to establish and lead our India operations -- identifying high-value projects, building stakeholder relationships, and positioning OMT as a trusted partner for the rapidly growing Indian maritime and shipbuilding sector.

The Role

We need someone who will get on the ground, map stakeholders, and close deals in India's offshore, maritime, and naval sectors. Not someone who sits in an office
- someone who visits shipyards, contacts procurement teams directly, and sells.

What You'll Actually Do

Project Hunting & Mapping
- Identify active and awarded shipyard projects, naval vessel programs, and offshore/marine construction contracts in India.
- Map the four-layer stakeholder landscape for each chance: owner, EPC contractor, OEM/equipment supplier,



PMC/consultant.
- Find the procurement decision-makers and contact them directly.

On-Ground Execution
- Visit shipyards, naval establishments, and contractor offices regularly. Be visible. Build relationships face-to-face.
- Leverage warm introductions from existing contacts and regional relationships to open doors.
- Assess which of our equipment fits each project

Selling Into Projects
- Link specific technical capabilities to project requirements—understand marine systems scope, specifications, and procurement timelines.
- Contact procurement teams; follow up; chase tenders and RFQs.
- Work with European principals and UAE office to price-compete and win contracts.
- Convert RFQs into POs.

Must-Have Experience:
- 8+ years in Indian shipyards, naval establishments, or maritime/offshore projects
- Direct yard-floor, procurement, or project management experience in shipbuilding
