Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part-time, remote role responsible for organizing, supporting, and developing the volunteer program at Espoir Psychiatric Center. This role includes recruiting and onboarding volunteers, arranging training sessions, and ensuring volunteers understand the center’s mission, values, and protocols. The Coordinator will schedule and assign volunteer activities, maintain accurate records, and provide ongoing guidance and feedback to support volunteer engagement and retention. The role also involves building relationships with community partners, promoting volunteer opportunities, and collaborating with clinical and administrative staff to align volunteer efforts with service needs. The Coordinator will regularly assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements to strengthen the volunteer experience and impact.
Qualifications




Candidates should possess skills in Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training to effectively organize and develop a structured volunteer program.
Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to support volunteers, collaborate with staff, and interact with community partners.
Candidates should possess experience in Community Outreach to promote the volunteer program and build relationships with external organizations.
Relevant experience coordinating volunteers or community programs, preferably in healthcare, mental health, or non-profit settings.
Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity.
Sensitivity to mental health issues and commitment to a non-stigmatizing, inclusive, and culturally respectful approach.
Proficiency with basic digital tools and online communication platforms for remote coordination and record-keeping.
