AI Tax Consultant (US Taxation) — Remote, India | Freelance / Contract

Outlier, a platform operated by Scale AI, is opening a dedicated track for India-based US tax professionals. If you prepare US individual returns through an outsourcing firm, or work as a US tax preparer, EA, or CA with hands-on US tax experience, we'd love to have your expertise.

About the work

You'll use your US tax knowledge to help train and improve advanced AI models. Instead of preparing returns for clients, you'll work through realistic US personal-tax scenarios, review AI-generated tax answers for accuracy, write correct expert responses, and flag where the model's reasoning falls short. Your judgment is what teaches the AI to handle US tax correctly.

Who we're looking for

- India-based professionals with hands-on US individual (1040) tax experience

- US tax preparers, Enrolled Agents (EAs), and Chartered Accountants (CAs) doing US tax outsourcing work

- Strong grasp of US personal tax: individual returns, deductions,



capital gains, self-employment and quarterly taxes

- Comfortable reasoning through complex, real-world tax situations
