Discover the Role

As a Client Accountant, you will be responsible for undertaking bookkeeping, accounting and reporting services for a portfolio of investment fund structures administered by TMF. The role holder will be required to undertake directed work and take responsibility for the achievement of the deadlines communicated by his/her Manager and the adherence to standard policy and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Undertaking the bookkeeping for a portfolio of investment fund structures in Investran and conducting full, detailed reviews of own work prior to submission for review by an Accounts Manager.
- Preparation and reconciliation of monthly bank accounts.
- Maintaining pro-active communication to ensure that the Fund Accounting Manager is kept appraised of the status of all deliverables.
- Working closely with counterparts on other teams to ensure seamless and coordinated service delivery.
- Maintaining files in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
- Proactively look to develop own skills within the wider business and assisting other teams
- In addition to the duties listed above,



the Fund Accountant may be requested to perform any other ad hoc duties or projects as requested by the Fund Accounting Manager.
- Preparation of financial statements/management reporting
- Demonstrating competence with all fund accounting work and progressing with more complex cases and an increased volume of work as knowledge of the entities and accounting standards (and qualified studies) increases.

Key Requirements

- Educational background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Practical experience within General Ledger accounting (1-2 years).
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel capabilities.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Ability to plan and organise oneself to meet challenging deadlines.
- Ability to learn quickly and work within a team under the guidance of a manager /mentor.
- As an additional advantage, the team would particularly welcome candidates coming from organizations operating within the Private Equity sector, given the nature of the business environment.
