We are a real estate development company based in Chennai, engaged in residential and commercial development. We are seeking an experienced, part-time HR Consultant to manage and execute our Human Resources function end-to-end — from recruitment to policy design to compliance. This is a hands-on role requiring an individual who can independently drive HR initiatives, not merely advise on them.

Engagement Details

- Type: Part time / retainer basis
- Commitment: 2–3 days per week (or an equivalent monthly hour arrangement)
- Location: Royapettah, Chennai — on-site presence required for part of the week; remote flexibility for the remainder

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end recruitment: sourcing, screening, and hiring for office and site-based roles (engineers, site supervisors, administrative and finance staff)
- Design and implement HR policies, SOPs, and an employee handbook
- Set up and administer performance management and appraisal systems
- Ensure statutory compliance (PF, ESI, and labour law applicable to the real estate and construction sector)




- Establish organizational structure and reporting lines to support the company’s continued professionalization
- Handle employee grievances and develop retention strategies

Candidate Requirements

- Minimum 8 years of experience in Human Resources, with demonstrated experience in recruitment execution (not limited to advisory work)
- Prior experience with SMEs, family-run businesses, or real estate/construction firms strongly preferred
- Demonstrated track record of building or formalizing HR functions within a growing organization
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or an equivalent qualification
- Strong working knowledge of Indian labour law and statutory compliance requirements
