Origin builds autonomous construction robots and robotic power tools that must perform reliably in demanding real-world environments. As a full-time Experimentation Engineer, you will design and run experiments that convert uncertain product questions into clear engineering decisions. You will build test rigs, instrument robotic systems, automate data acquisition, define repeatable protocols and analyse performance across mechanical, electrical, controls, software and perception interfaces. You will own prototype integration, system bring-up, fault reproduction, root-cause investigations and evidence-based recommendations. You will work closely with robotics, embedded, mechanical, manufacturing and field teams to validate new concepts, improve reliability and accelerate learning from prototype through deployment.
Requirements
3+ years of hands-on experience in robotics, mechatronics, industrial automation, experimental engineering, system integration or a related field. Strong ability to design controlled experiments, select instrumentation,
automate tests and interpret noisy real-world data. Practical proficiency in Python and at least one of C++, PLC programming, ROS/ROS2 or embedded scripting. Experience with sensors, actuators, data acquisition, machine vision, industrial communications and debugging integrated electromechanical systems. Comfortable building fixtures, wiring prototypes, working in the lab and troubleshooting across disciplines. Clear technical documentation, structured problem-solving and the ability to turn results into design actions. Willingness to work full-time and on-site in Bengaluru.
Advantages
Join a highly hands-on team building autonomous construction robots from first principles. Work directly with prototypes, field systems and senior engineers across disciplines. Competitive compensation, meaningful equity and rapid ownership of experiments that shape product architecture and reliability.
