- Evaluate the security of internal and external systems and assist in creating baselines and standards.
- Monitor computer networks for security issues.
- Assist in the investigation of security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents. .
- Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
- Could you work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities
- Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
- Help develop company-wide best practices for IT security.
- Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
- Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards.
- Responsible for acting on security violations,
providing recommendations for adaptation of current technologies or policies, and recognizing and identifying potential areas where existing data security policies and procedures require change or new development.
- Assist in regular audits to ensure that the organization meets all security policies defined by the SOC.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field experience preferred.
- 2-3 Years experience in operating in a SOC enviorment
- Security-related certifications are a plus.
- Experience in information security or related fields is a plus.
- Understanding of computer systems.
- Ability to identify, asses vulnerabilities and remediate to avoid them.
- Time management skills and self-starter personality.
- Scripting experience is a plus
