Job Purpose:

To head and monitor the overall functions and activities of the Quality Function

Responsibility:

1) Leads an organization's quality strategy.

2) Ensures the quality of the product is in line with customer requirements.

3) Manage compliance standards and oversee quality assurance systems to ensure products or services meet strict benchmarks.

4) Responsible for new product/process developments in line with customer requirements.

5) Responsible for effective implementation of process control requirements.

6) Maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) like ISO 9001, serving as the primary management representative for internal and external audits.

7) To prepare & ensure implementation of Quality System in the department.

8) Identification of Training Needs of all the employees in the department.





9)To take management programs and to ensure safety practices are followed.

Accountability:

1. Accountable for Setting Quality Objectives & Targets

2. Accountable for Customer Complaints / Customer returns

Authority:

1. To hold production at any stage if the quality of the product is not conforming to the requirements.

2. To endorse the diversion plan of final product.

3. To allow dispatch of only those products that meet the conformity criteria.

4. To approve current vendors for raw material.

5. To approve and issue inspection standards and procedures.
