Job Title: Japanese Bilingual Support Specialist & Parent Outreach (Part-Time)Location: Sector 70A, Gurgaon & DLF Phase 1, GurgaonAbout the RoleKunskapsskolan is seeking an empathetic and linguistic specialist to support our growing Japanese student community. This role involves helping Japanese-speaking students build English proficiency and serve as the primary cultural and linguistic link to prospective and current Japanese families.Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Language Support: Provide targeted English language support (ESL/ELL) to Japanese-speaking students, using Japanese when necessary to explain complex concepts, build confidence, and accelerate English acquisition.Classroom Integration: Assist teachers with bilingual support during classroom activities to ensure students smoothly adapt to the school curriculum and environment.Parent Relations & Outreach: Serve as the main point of contact for prospective Japanese parents—leading campus walkthroughs, answering admissions inquiries,



and translating key communications.Cultural Bridging: Help school staff understand Japanese cultural nuances and facilitate seamless parent-teacher interactions during orientations and conferences.Qualifications & ExperienceLanguage Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in Japanese (JLPT N1/N2 or equivalent) with professional-level English proficiency (written and spoken).Background: Prior experience in language teaching, tutoring, ESL support, educational translation, or multicultural student support.Interpersonal Skills: Warm, qualified communication style with an ability to build trust with families and collaborate with faculty.Flexible part-time schedule suited to school operational hours.A collaborative, international teaching and learning environment.Opportunity to make a direct impact on cross-cultural education and student integration.
