Role Summary

A senior business leader to own and grow BPL's imaging modality portfolio, this is a P&L; role that also demands genuine technical depth: you'll set commercial strategy and run the business, while staying hands-on enough to engage credibly with clinicians, KOLs, and technical teams on product application, clinical use, and complex deals. You'll bring 10+ years of experience spanning both sales/business leadership and technical or application exposure in the medical device space, along with the seniority to operate as a key member of the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

Business Ownership & P&L; Management

- Own the P&L; for all imaging modality businesses — revenue, margin, and market share targets.
- Define and execute business strategy for each imaging modality segment, in line with overall company goals.
- Drive annual business planning, budgeting, and forecasting across the portfolio.

Technical & Application Leadership

- Maintain strong working knowledge of the clinical applications, technology, and competitive positioning of every product in the imaging portfolio.
- Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex deals, large tenders,



and key accounts — engaging directly with clinicians, biomedical teams, and KOLs where deep product/application knowledge is needed to close business.
- Guide the Product Specialist and Application teams on technical strategy, ensuring field teams are equipped with accurate, current clinical and technical knowledge.
- Partner with R&D; and product management to translate clinical/field feedback into product improvements and new development priorities.

Portfolio & Market Strategy

- Shape go-to-market strategy for new and existing imaging modality products, grounded in both commercial and clinical/technical insight.
- Track market trends, the competitive landscape, and customer needs to guide portfolio decisions.
- Represent BPL at key clinical and industry forums, building the company's technical credibility in the market.

Sales & Channel Leadership

- Provide leadership and direction to sales, marketing, product, and application teams across the imaging portfolio.
- Build and strengthen channel partnerships, distributor relationships, and key accounts.
- Drive institutional and government business, including tenders, across the imaging modality range — supporting technical bid requirements as needed.

Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, regulatory, and R&D; teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Represent the imaging modality business to senior leadership, the board, and external stakeholders.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team across sales, product, application, and marketing functions.
- Foster a culture of accountability,



technical rigour, and customer-centricity.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

- 10+ years of progressive experience in the medical device / MedTech industry, with significant exposure to imaging modality businesses.
- A track record spanning both business/sales leadership and hands-on technical or clinical application work — someone equally comfortable in a boardroom and at a hospital bedside.
- Proven track record of P&L; ownership and driving business growth in a senior leadership role.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across sales, product, application, and marketing.
- Biomedical engineering, electronics, or related technical degree preferred; an MBA or equivalent business qualification is a strong plus.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong business acumen combined with genuine technical/clinical understanding of the imaging portfolio.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Deep understanding of the medical device market, regulatory environment, and healthcare ecosystem in India.
- Ability to engage credibly with clinicians, KOLs, and technical stakeholders, not just commercial decision-makers.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
