Position Overview

The Works Manager oversees the entire backend/service team, ensuring vehicles are serviced to manufacturer standards, customer satisfaction is maximized, and workshop profitability is achieved.

Key Responsibilities

- Workshop Operations
- Supervise repair processes and ensure adherence to service standards.
- Plan daily workshop activities, allocate jobs, and monitor workflow.
- Track vehicle progress to meet promised delivery times.
- Sales & Revenue
- Define and monitor targets for job cards, parts sales, and labor revenue.
- Drive service promotions, extended warranty sales, and genuine parts usage.
- Control expenses to meet budgetary guidelines.
- Customer Satisfaction
- Handle escalations and ensure quality repairs.
- Implement measures to improve loyalty and repeat business.
- Monitor feedback and reduce complaints through root cause analysis.
- Team Leadership




- Manage supervisors, inspectors, parts managers, and service staff.
- Recruit, train, and motivate employees.
- Conduct performance reviews and ensure completion of mandatory training.
- Infrastructure & Safety
- Maintain workshop facilities, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and after-sales guidelines.
- Keep the workshop clean, organized, and aligned with brand standards.

Qualifications

- Education: B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering.
- Experience: 4–8 years in automotive service, preferably two-wheelers.
- Skills:
- Technical knowledge of two-wheeler servicing
- Solid leadership and people management
- Customer relationship management
- Financial planning and reporting
