Job Description – Purchase Executive (Fire Fighting & Plumbing Solutions)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities for Fire Fighting, Plumbing, and MEP materials. The ideal candidate should have experience in vendor management, cost negotiation, PO, GRN, CS preparation, and indent verification, ensuring timely procurement while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

- Key Responsibilities:Verify and process Material Indents received from project and store teams.
- Prepare Comparative Statements (CS) by evaluating quotations from multiple vendors.
- Create and issue Purchase Orders (PO) after obtaining necessary approvals.
- Procure fire fighting, plumbing, piping, valves, pumps, fittings, and other MEP materials.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors for the best price, quality, and delivery terms.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Verify delivered materials against the PO and prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN).
- Coordinate with Stores, Projects, and Accounts for smooth procurement and invoice processing.
- Reconcile PO, GRN, invoices, and delivery challans before forwarding for payment.
- Maintain purchase records, vendor databases, and procurement documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
- Resolve supplier issues related to pricing,



quality, shortages, and delivery delays.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and project timelines.

- Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the Fire Fighting, Plumbing, MEP, HVAC, or Construction industry.
- Experience in handling PO, GRN, CS, Indent Verification, Vendor Coordination, and Material Procurement is mandatory.
- Preferred Candidate Profile:Good understanding of fire fighting and plumbing products, MEP materials, and procurement workflows.
- Solid analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with vendors, stores, project engineers, and accounts teams.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to timely procurement.
