Realtime Biometrics is looking for a highly experienced **Senior Embedded Linux & Firmware Engineer** to lead the complete software development of our next-generation embedded hardware products.
The candidate will work with third-party hardware platforms and SoC-based development boards and will be responsible for developing, customizing, integrating and maintaining the complete software and firmware stack.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in **Embedded Linux, C/C++, BSP, Linux kernel, device drivers, multimedia processing, networking, cloud connectivity and OTA firmware**.
## Key Responsibilities
### Embedded Linux & Firmware
* Develop complete embedded firmware for Linux-based hardware platforms.
* Customize and integrate vendor-provided SDKs and BSPs.
* Modify Linux kernel and device tree.
* Work with U-Boot and bootloader.
* Develop and integrate device drivers.
* Manage GPIO, I²C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet and other interfaces.
* Optimize system performance, memory and boot time.
* Develop production-ready firmware.
### Multimedia & Data Processing
* Work with video/image processing pipelines.
* Integrate image sensors and multimedia peripherals.
* Work with H.264/H.265 and other multimedia codecs.
* Manage multiple data streams.
* Implement recording, storage and playback functions.
* Work with ISP and image-processing frameworks where applicable.
### Networking
Develop and integrate:
* TCP/IP
* UDP
* HTTP/HTTPS
* RTSP
* RTP/RTCP
* ONVIF
* DHCP
* DNS
* NTP
* IPv4/IPv6
* WebSocket

Experience with network-connected embedded products is highly preferred.

### Web Interface
Develop and integrate embedded web interfaces using:

The interface may include:

### AI / Edge Computing
Experience with edge AI will be an advantage.

### Hardware Bring-Up & Debugging

This is **not a general software-development position**.

The candidate should be comfortable working independently and eventually leading a small embedded software team.
