Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day kitchen operations and ensure smooth service.
- Prepare food as per Kinion Cafe’s recipes, SOPs and presentation standards.
- Maintain consistency in taste, portion size and plating.
- Ensure food preparation is completed on time during peak hours.
- Manage kitchen inventory, stock levels and daily requirements.
- Monitor food wastage and control food costs.
- Maintain proper hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials.
- Coordinate with the café manager for daily requirements and operational issues.
- Assist in developing and testing new menu items.
- Maintain recipe cards, preparation processes and kitchen SOPs.
- Check the quality and freshness of incoming ingredients.
- Ensure minimum wastage through proper preparation and storage.
- Handle customer feedback related to food quality and take corrective action.

Requirements

- 2–5 years of relevant kitchen experience.
- Experience in café, QSR, restaurant or similar food-service operations.




- Positive knowledge of Indian, Continental and café-style food preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy service hours.
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
- Good team-management and communication skills.
- Ability to follow and implement recipes and SOPs.
- Cost-conscious approach towards ingredients and wastage.
- Willingness to take ownership of the kitchen rather than only cooking.

Preferred

- Experience in a growing café/QSR brand.
- Experience with menu development and recipe standardisation.
- Knowledge of food costing and inventory management.
- Ability to train junior kitchen staff.
- Basic understanding of FSSAI and food safety practices.
