BARISTA – JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Barista

Department: Food & Beverage / Café Operations

Reports To: Restaurant Manager / Assistant Restaurant Manager

Location: daWholesum Resto-Café- FC Road

Job PurposeTo prepare and serve high-quality coffee, beverages and smoothies while maintaining excellent customer service, hygiene and café standards.

- Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare espresso, cappuccino, latte, americano and other coffee beverages as per SOP.
- Prepare mocktails, smoothies, juices and other beverages as per recipe standards.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, blenders and other beverage equipment.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation and portion size.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bar/counter and equipment.
- Check beverage stock and inform the manager about shortages.
- Follow FIFO and proper storage procedures.
- Handle customer orders professionally and provide excellent service.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service team for smooth order execution.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and company SOPs.




- Minimise wastage and maintain proper portion control.
- Handle opening and closing duties of the beverage station.
- Support upselling of beverages and café products.
- Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience as a Barista preferred.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation and basic beverage operations.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant/café setting.
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and food safety.
- Positive attitude, grooming and professional behaviour.
- Ability to work in shifts, weekends and holidays.
