The Commis works both with and on behalf of employees/trainees to ensure high standards of excellence in service, execution, and processes. This position is based in Kolkata, West Bengal. Is full time, with one off per week. The role reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with the Founder and Front End Barista to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Station Ownership: Independently manage, clean, stock and prep the veggie and past stations
- KOT Fluency: Read, sequence, and execute accurately during peak rush hours
- Understands Order of Operations: preps efficiently so presentation and portions are high and consistent
- Maintains strict kitchen hygiene: maintains cleanliness, dishwashing standard
- Maintain FIFO organization of food stock
- Seek ways to improve efficiencies in the kitchen - saving time, money, and energy
- Willing to do all parts of kitchen duty, food prep, baking, washing dishes and station cleaning
- Interacts and serves customers as needed
- Reports directly to Kitchen Manager works closely with Cafe Manager

Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in cafe or commercial kitchen

- Knowing google sheets or excel is a bonus
