Role Overview

We are seeking compassionate and responsible care companions to support older adults, including those living with dementia, in their homes. The Care Companion will provide respectful, person-centred care that promotes dignity, comfort, safety, and meaningful engagement in daily life.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide companionship and emotional support to elders Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility)
- Support meals, hydration, and medication reminders
- Engage elders in conversation, activities, and cognitive stimulation
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment
- Observe and report changes in behaviour or health to the care team
- Follow caregiving standards and documentation practices




- Care companions typically assist with daily living activities, emotional support, routine management, and monitoring wellbeing to help seniors maintain independence and quality of life.

Ideal Candidate

- Empathetic, patient, and respectful toward elders
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to learn dementia-care techniques
- Prior caregiving or nursing experience preferred (training provided)
