Role Overview

A Petrol Pump Manager oversees the daily operations, inventory, cash management, and staff at a fuel station. Their primary goal is to ensure smooth operations, maximize fuel and retail sales, and maintain strict safety and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor fuel levels in underground tanks daily, place orders for replenishment, and manage inventory for the attached convenience store.
- Cash & Financial Control: Oversee daily sales reconciliations, manage cash collection, secure deposits, and ensure accurate billing at the dispensing units.
- Staff Management: Hire, train, and schedule fuel attendants, cashiers, and maintenance staff, ensuring high-quality customer service.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict health and safety protocols (e.g., fire safety, no smoking rules, spill prevention)



and ensure compliance with environmental and petroleum regulatory laws.
- Equipment Maintenance: Arrange for routine maintenance and calibration of fuel dispensing pumps, air units, and payment terminals to prevent downtime.

Key Requirements

- Core Skills: Solid numeric and mathematical aptitude, inventory management experience, and basic computer proficiency (MS Excel and POS billing software).
- Soft Skills: Leadership and team handling capabilities, crisis management, and an acute awareness of safety procedures.
- Education & Experience: A high school diploma or a Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or Management. Prior experience in retail management, logistics, or hospitality is highly valued.
