Role Definition:
We are seeking an experienced and organized Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse in the building materials industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, optimizing space and logistics, ensuring safety compliance, and leading a team to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer and project orders.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of building materials
Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
Oversee incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
Logistics & Distribution:
Coordinate deliveries and dispatches with transport teams and drivers.
Optimize warehouse layout for effective storage and retrieval of materials.
Track and manage order fulfillment and delivery timelines.
Team Leadership:
Supervise warehouse staff, including forklift operators, loaders, and pickers.
Assign tasks and ensure proper training of employees.
Conduct performance evaluations and implement productivity improvement initiatives.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Enforce proper handling and storage of hazardous or heavy materials.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Equipment & Facility Maintenance:
Coordinate repairs and maintenance of the warehouse facility as needed.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of stock movement, receipts, and shipments.
Generate regular reports on inventory status, shrinkage, and warehouse performance.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role in the building materials or any industry.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control systems, and logistics.
Familiarity with ERP or CRM systems
Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
