Job Summary

Fortanix seeks a talented and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join the India team. The SDET will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform by developing and executing comprehensive test plans and automated test suites.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts
- Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and design test plans that ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Execute automated and manual tests, analyze results, and report defects with explicit and concise documentation.
- Continuously improve test automation strategies and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure adherence to best practices and high-quality code.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated testing into the development workflow.
- Monitor and analyze test results, identify trends, and drive improvements in product quality.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in best practices for test automation and quality assurance.

Requirements

- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or similar role.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or C++.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
- Strong experience with modern test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).




- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes, such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, Locust).
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, performance, and security testing.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with API testing and tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with security testing and knowledge of security principles.
- Experience with Rust programming language is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of data security concepts and protocols.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
