Role Overview

As a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Subject Matter Expert for Data Center Construction, you will provide expert oversight of quality assurance and quality control protocols for mission-critical data center construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role is essential to maintaining the highest standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle while supporting seamless delivery of world-class data center infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

You will develop and implement comprehensive QA/QC plans, inspection schedules, and testing procedures specific to data center infrastructure including electrical systems, mechanical/HVAC, fire protection, and specialty systems. Your expertise will guide the project team in maintaining rigorous quality standards from design through construction and commissioning.

The role involves conducting technical reviews of submittals, shop drawings,



and material certifications to verify conformance with project specifications and data center design standards including Uptime Institute and TIA-942 requirements. You will perform field inspections and audits of construction activities, workmanship quality, and installation methods, documenting findings and non-conformances through detailed reports and corrective action tracking.

Collaboration is central to this position as you work closely with project management, design teams, contractors, and commissioning agents to resolve quality issues and ensure seamless integration of building systems. You will lead pre-installation meetings, quality control reviews, and lessons-learned sessions to drive continuous improvement and prevent defect recurrence across projects.

Your responsibilities include verifying calibration and testing of critical systems including UPS, generators, cooling systems, and monitoring equipment to ensure operational readiness and compliance with performance specifications. You will maintain comprehensive quality documentation including inspection records, test results, punch lists, and as-built verification for client handover and warranty compliance.

Additionally, you will provide technical training and mentorship to project teams on data center quality standards, best practices, and emerging construction technologies, fostering a culture of quality excellence throughout the organization.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in QA/QC for commercial or industrial construction with at least 5 years specializing in data center or mission-critical facilities
