About the Role

We are looking for a QA Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in software testing, preferably in the Payments or FinTech domain. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Manual Testing, API Testing, Linux, Docker, and SQL, along with hands-on experience in validating end-to-end payment workflows. The candidate should be comfortable working in Agile environments and collaborating closely with development and product teams to deliver high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute test cases for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
- Validate backend data using SQL queries and perform database testing.
- Work with Linux environments to troubleshoot application and system-level issues.
- Deploy, execute, and validate applications running in Docker containers.
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of quality releases.
- Validate payment workflows, transaction processing, settlement flows, and system integrations.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement.

Required Skills




- 3-5 years of experience in Software Testing, preferably in the Payments/FinTech domain.
- Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing.
- Experience in API Testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of Linux commands and system navigation.
- Hands-on experience with Docker for containerized application testing.
- Good SQL scripting skills for backend data validation.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Good to Have
- Knowledge of payment systems, transaction processing, settlement, and reconciliation flows.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
- Exposure to performance or security testing in financial applications.
- Experience working with Git and version control systems.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced Agile workplace.
