Position: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Experience: 10 to 20 Years
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech Electrical / EEE
Location: Chennai
Industry: Manufacturing / Automotive / Engineering

Key Responsibilities

- Manage electrical maintenance activities for plant machinery, production equipment, utilities and electrical systems.
- Hold a valid Electrical C License with practical experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical breakdowns and implement preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Handle PLC programming, troubleshooting and modification for Delta, Omron and Siemens PLC systems.
- Troubleshoot PLC I/O, sensors, relays, contactors, VFDs, servo drives and control panels.
- Develop and modify PLC programs based on machine requirements and production improvements.
- Troubleshoot HMI, PLC communication and industrial automation systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance of motors, MCC panels, PCC panels, control panels, transformers and other electrical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with production,



engineering and external vendors for machine breakdowns and improvement projects.
- Maintain electrical maintenance records, breakdown reports and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Support machine installation, commissioning, electrical modifications and automation projects.
- Identify opportunities for energy saving, automation and reliability improvement.

Required Technical Skills

- Electrical C License Mandatory
- Robust industrial electrical maintenance experience
- PLC Programming & Troubleshooting: Delta, Omron and Siemens
- VFDs, servo drives and motor control systems
- HMI and industrial automation
- MCC/PCC and electrical control panels
- Sensors, relays, contactors and control circuits
- Electrical drawings and panel troubleshooting
- Preventive & breakdown maintenance
- Electrical safety and statutory compliance
