Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Full Stack Engineer with strong expertise in Node.js, React.js, TypeScript, Microservices Architecture, REST APIs, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable cloud-native applications while following modern engineering practices and delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performing web applications using React.js, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Build and enhance microservices-based architectures with a focus on scalability, resilience, and security.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs and event-driven services.
- Design cloud-native solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering teams to define technical solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions and drive best engineering practices.
- Implement robust unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and security.
- Monitor production systems and troubleshoot critical issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence initiatives.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and code reviews.

Required Skills

Backend

- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Node.js
- TypeScript
- Express.js / NestJS
- REST APIs
- Authentication (OAuth2, JWT)




- API Gateway concepts

Frontend

- Robust expertise in:
- React.js
- TypeScript
- Redux / Context API
- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+
- Responsive UI development

Microservices

- Designing and implementing distributed systems
- Service decomposition patterns
- Event-driven architecture
- API versioning
- Inter-service communication
- Resilience patterns and fault tolerance

Cloud & DevOps

- Strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Knowledge of:
- Cloud Run
- GKE (Kubernetes Engine)
- Cloud Functions
- Pub/Sub
- Cloud Storage
- BigQuery (good to have)

- CI/CD implementation using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
- Docker & Kubernetes

Databases

- SQL Databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
- NoSQL Databases (MongoDB/Firestore)
- Data modelling and query optimisation

Preferred Skills

- GraphQL
- Kafka / Pub-Sub Messaging
- Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
- Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
- Serverless architecture
- Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
- AI/GenAI integration experience is advantageous
