Role & responsibilities

Electrical Safety Audit Quality & Technical Authority

- Act as technical reviewer and approving signatory on audit reports before client release; defend findings in client technical reviews and closure meetings.
- Drive root-cause quality: audit-of-audit program, error trend analysis, corrective action, and continual sharpening of our proprietary rating methodology.

Statutory Empanelment & Accreditation (Regulatory Access)

- Secure and maintain empanelment / recognition with State Electrical Inspectorates, Chief Electrical Inspectors to Government (CEIG), Electrical Licensing Boards and State DISCOMs, state by state.
- Build and maintain the Chartered Electrical Safety Engineer / competent-person bench required to hold those empanelments.
- Drive empanelment and vendor registration with Central and State Government departments, PSUs, urban local bodies, State Designated Agencies for energy conservation (MEDA, GEDA, UPNEDA, HAREDA, PEDA, TEDA, KREDL, RRECL and equivalents), BEE, EESL, PWD/CPWD, MES, Railways, Airports, Port Trusts, health and education departments.
- Lead Befikr's accreditation as a Type A Inspection Body under ISO/IEC 17020:2012 with NABCB scope definition, gap assessment,



management system documentation, impartiality and confidentiality controls, competence framework, inspection procedures, records architecture.
- Support parallel management-system certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001) and the energy-audit accreditation pathway.

Preferred candidate profile

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Diploma with exceptional depth may be considered.
- 1015 years of experience, of which a minimum of 5 years must be in third-party electrical safety audit, statutory inspection, or energy audit as a service provider or as a regulator, not as an in-house plant electrical engineer.
- Demonstrated, first-hand dealings with government electrical bodies State Electrical Inspectorate / CEIG / DISCOM / State Designated Agency / BEE / CEA.
- Working command of CEA Regulations 2023, Electricity Act 2003 and the Indian Standards governing electrical installation safety.
- Hands-on exposure to ISO/IEC 17020 or ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation either as a body being accredited, or as an assessor.
- Willingness to travel 812 days per month across India.
