About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Head – Global Sourcing & Contract Manufacturing to lead pharmaceutical manufacturer sourcing, qualification, commercial negotiations, and contract manufacturing partnerships for international markets.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in pharmaceutical CMO sourcing, manufacturer evaluation, GMP assessment, commercial negotiation, open-cost-sheet/BOM analysis, and export-market regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard pharmaceutical manufacturers for international markets including Kenya, Philippines, Myanmar, Ethiopia, and Nigeria.
- Source manufacturers molecule/product-wise based on market requirements, regulatory requirements, quality standards, capacity, and commercial competitiveness.
- Conduct manufacturer site visits and structured assessments covering GMP certificates, facility capabilities, manufacturing processes, batch records, QC/QA systems, and dosage-form capabilities.
- Prepare and submit detailed manufacturer assessment reports with clear Go / No-Go recommendations.
- Lead end-to-end commercial negotiations covering product pricing, MOQ, dossier costs, COPP/CPP, payment terms, batch size, lead time, and other commercial conditions.
- Analyze open cost sheets and BOMs to understand API, excipients, packaging, conversion/manufacturing costs, yield/losses, QC/QA, testing, utilities, overheads, and other cost components.




- Identify and negotiate opportunities for cost optimization and improved commercial terms.
- Personally lead and close manufacturer agreements and contract manufacturing arrangements.
- Manage and resolve existing manufacturer issues related to dossiers, quality, samples, pricing, production, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Management teams to ensure successful product onboarding.
- Conduct approximately 2–4 manufacturer site visits per month and submit reports within 48 hours.
- Maintain a weekly manufacturer sourcing and negotiation pipeline and provide regular updates to the Management.
- Present qualified manufacturer recommendations and commercial proposals to the MD for final approval.

Candidate Requirements

- 15–25 years of experience in pharmaceutical CMO sourcing, contract manufacturing, vendor development, or export-side pharmaceutical sourcing.
- Strong experience in international/export pharmaceutical markets; domestic procurement-only experience will not be considered.
- Proven experience in personally onboarding and closing agreements with pharmaceutical manufacturers.




- Hands-on experience in manufacturer/facility assessment and GMP evaluation.
- Solid working knowledge of WHO-GMP, EU-GMP, PIC/S GMP, CTD, ACTD, COPP/CPP, BE studies, and related regulatory requirements.
- Strong commercial negotiation and pharmaceutical costing skills.
- Excellent understanding of open cost sheets, BOM analysis, batch economics, yield/losses, conversion costs, and cost optimization.
- Willingness to travel regularly to pharmaceutical manufacturing sites across India.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Must be based in Bengaluru or willing to relocate to Bengaluru.
- This is a full-time, in-office position.

Do Not Apply If

- Your experience is primarily in domestic pharma procurement of APIs, excipients, or packaging.
- You have no hands-on experience in pharmaceutical manufacturer/facility assessment.
- You have never personally led or closed a pharmaceutical manufacturer agreement.
- You require daily direction and supervision to execute sourcing activities.
- You are not willing to relocate to Bengaluru.

Educational Qualification

B.Pharm / M.Pharm

Candidates with strong relevant pharmaceutical sourcing and contract manufacturing experience will be considered.

We are looking for a hands-on senior professional who can independently identify manufacturers, assess their capabilities, negotiate commercials, close agreements, and build a reliable global manufacturing network — not someone whose role has been limited to coordination or procurement support.
