- Receive construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables at the project site.
- Verify quantity, specifications, quality, and condition of materials against Purchase Orders, Delivery Challans, and Material Requisition Notes.
- Prepare and maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and other relevant store documents.
- Properly stack, label, and store materials to avoid damage, deterioration, or loss.
- Maintain accurate stock records and update ERP/SAP or other inventory systems on a timely basis.
- Issue materials to subcontractors, engineers, and site teams against approved Material Requisitions.
- Maintain bin cards, stock registers, material issue records, and other store documentation.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and inform the concerned team about replenishment requirements.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Identify shortages, excess stock, damaged materials, and obsolete materials and report them to the reporting manager.
- Ensure proper preservation of cement, steel, chemicals, electrical materials, plumbing materials, finishing materials, and other construction-related items.
- Maintain proper records for returnable and non-returnable materials.
- Control the movement of tools, equipment, and materials into and out of the project site.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Project, Planning, Finance, and Subcontractor teams for material requirements and reconciliation.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, and security within the store area.
- Follow company procedures for material receipt, storage, issue, transfer, and disposal.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required store records and documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly material stock and consumption reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, project procedures, and applicable safety requirements.
